Probably, most of you recognize this situation. Perhaps many of you have “been there” and are well acquainted with the insanity of today’s workplace. If so, you know the score as well as we do…we must Stop the Insanity of approaching creative endeavors with hard processes and rigid pre-planned human interactions. Stop the Insanity of expecting teams to magically produce a remarkable product when they don’t have the essential ingredients of compelling vision, time to focus and one another to lean on. Stop the Insanity of using inappropriate short-term measures that (de)incentivize people from taking any risk at all as they try to come up with new ideas. The examples are many.
It doesn’t have to be this way (and it isn’t this way everywhere). In fact, the new thinking and the new workplace exist. And they are wondrous to behold.
